You are here
Speedoc is a house call service that enables you to request on-demand certified doctors and general practitioners in Singapore and a few more locations. It delivers remote medical care via a mobile app which is available for both iOS and Android users. There is no waiting in line, filling out forms or wondering how you are going to get to the nearest hospital for a check-up. Instead, a specialist shows up at your doorstep at the time you’ve agreed. The service is available around the clock, even on public holidays and weekends.
The company was established in 2017 by a team of engineers, doctors, and business executives. They all had one goal in mind: to ensure faster and improved care for everyone minus the burden that standard practices carry.
The mobile medicine provider is part of the Ministry of Health, as well as Digital Health Malaysia and LEAP.
Who can take advantage of the service?
Speedoc is available for the general public, employees, and family members. You can meet a nurse or doctor in the comfort of your own home without queuing for hours in a waiting room full of patients. It’s convenient for those who have to be out of the country on days when their beloved ones need to be taken to the hospital for screening and general medical assistance.
It’s also faster and less stressful because you are in a familiar environment, surrounded by stuff you like. Besides, patients with low immunity don’t run a risk of contracting a disease since they don't have to leave their flats at all.
Aside from families, employers can book the service too. This way their office workers will get the desired vaccinations, screening, and consultations on-site. Not to mention, there is exclusive care for businesses, which covers insurance companies, hospitality providers, VIPs, schools, public hospitals, elderly care in Singapore, and social services. Sporting events and conferences are also involved.
Generally speaking, the app allows you to:
- Schedule doctor visits within two hours of call
- Chat with the professional for free after the initial visit
- Request a private, non emergency ambulance
- Book separate doctors for different family members (each one can have their own profile on the app)
- Video call your doctor after the initial consultation (charges may apply)
- Get transportation to any healthcare institution on the island
Speedoc offers several packages and a convenient payment system.
This one provides all vaccinations that kids are required to have. It comes with an 18-month plan. Throughout this time, a total of two nurses and five doctors visit each family to do all the necessary shots on the babies. There is also unlimited email and telemedicine support. The list of vaccines they perform includes everything MOH recommends, such as measles, pertussis, diphtheria, hepatitis, papillomavirus, tuberculosis, and more.
The team of compassionate doctors and nurses can visit patients on site to monitor hypertension and diabetes. As far as the former is concerned, the list of tasks involves blood tests and medical check-ups twice a year. When it comes to the latter, every four months the specialists will do a variety of tests to check blood sugar levels and other risk factors. And once a year, they will perform additional eye and foot screening as well.
Currently, there are more packages in the works that will be available soon.
